Admission Policies

The student application process must be completed before a student may be enrolled.

To be eligible for our programs, students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Provide an official government-issued document as identification (passport,ID, etc)
  • Fulfill all requirements of their visa status

(if applicable).

Procedures:
For U.S. students (non-F1)

Step 1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100, non-refundable application fee.

Step2: Submit the following documents:

  • Copy of Identification
  • Copy of highest diploma or transcript
  • Either a live audition or an audition on a DVD or Youtube.

Step3: In a week’s time qualified students will receive an acceptance letter issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music.

Step4: Sign an enrollment agreement form and pay all of the required tuition and fees.

Step5: Attend new student orientation. Receive student handbook.

Step6: Begin study at Long Island Conservatory of Music.

For International students (non-U.S. citizens)

Step1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100, non-refundable application fee.

Step2: Submit the following necessary documents:

  • Copy of passport valid for a remainder of at least 6 months.
  • Bank statement no more than 60days old. ( Bank statement must show at minimum of $15,000 USD for a one-year I-20. )
  • Either a live audition or an audition on DVD or Youtube.

*ALL documents must be in English.

Step3: In a week’s time qualified students will receive an acceptance letter issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music.

Step4: Pay full tuition and receive Form I -20.

Step5: Student must pay the I-901 fee to SEVIS and get a fee receipt.

Step6: Student applies for a F1 Visa at a U.S. Embassy. (Bring school acceptance letter, I-20 form and other required documents to the Embassy)

Step7: Once the student’s F1 Student Visa is approved and student enters the U.S., the student will report to the school. Afterwards the student will sign the enrollment agreement, attend the student orientation and will get the student handbook.

Step 8: Begin study at Long Island Conservatory of Music.

For F1 Transfer Students (Students who currently reside in the U.S. holding an F1 Visa issued by another institution, and plan to study at Long Island Conservatory of Music)

Step 1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100, non-refundable application fee.

Step2: Submit the following necessary documents:

  • Copy of passport valid for a remainder of at least 6 months.
  • Copy of current F-1 Visa, I-94 (Front and back) and I- 20.
  • Bank statement no more than 60days old. ( Bank statement must show at minimum of $15,000 USD for a one-year I-20. )
  • Either a live audition or an audition on DVD or Youtube.
  • *ALL documents must be in English.

Step3: In a week’s time qualified students will receive an acceptance letter and a school transfer form issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music. Please send them to the student’s current institution.

Step4: Pay full tuition and fees.

Step5: After completion of the transfer process, report to Long Island Conservatory of Music immediately to complete the registration. When the student reports to the school the student will sign the enrollment agreement, attend the student orientation, and receive the student handbook.

Step6: Begin study at Long Island Conservatory of Music.
