Admissions Requirements

The Information You Need

The student application process must be completed before a student may be enrolled.

To be eligible for our programs, students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Provide an official government-issued document as identification (passport, ID, etc.)

  • Fulfill all requirements of their visa status (if applicable).

Procedures:

For U.S. students (non-F-1)

Step 1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee.

Step 2: Submit the following documents:

  • Copy of Identification

  • Copy of highest diploma or transcript

  • Either schedule a live audition or submit an audition on a DVD or YouTube link.

Step 3: In a week’s time, qualified students will receive an acceptance letter issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music.

Step 4: Sign an enrollment agreement form and pay all of the required tuition and fees.

Step 5: Attend new student orientation, and receive a student handbook.

Step 6: Begin studying at the Long Island Conservatory of Music.

For International students (non-U.S. citizens)

Step 1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100, non-refundable application fee.

Step 2: Submit the following necessary documents:

  • Copy of passport valid for a remainder of at least 6 months.

  • Bank statement no more than 60 days old. ( Bank statement must show at minimum of $15,000 USD for a one-year I-20. )

  • Either schedule a live audition or submit an audition on a DVD or YouTube link.

*ALL documents must be in English.

Step 3: In a week’s time qualified students will receive an acceptance letter issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music.

Step 4: Pay full tuition and receive Form I-20.

Step 5: Student must pay the I-901 fee to SEVIS and get a fee receipt.

Step 6: Student applies for a F-1 Visa at a U.S. Embassy. (Bring school acceptance letter, I-20 form and other required documents to the Embassy)

Step 7: Once the student’s F-1 Student Visa is approved and student enters the U.S., the student will report to the school. Afterwards, the student will fill-out and sign the enrollment agreement, attend the student orientation, and receive a student handbook.

Step 8: Begin studying at the Long Island Conservatory of Music.

 

For F-1 Transfer Students (Students who currently reside in the U.S. on an F-1 visa through a Form I-20 issued by another institution, and plan to study at Long Island Conservatory of Music)

Step 1: Fill out and submit an application form. There is a $100, non-refundable application fee.

Step 2: Submit the following necessary documents:

  • Copy of passport valid for a remainder of at least 6 months.

  • Copy of current F-1 visa, I-94 (Front and back) and I-20.

  • Bank statement no more than 60 days old. ( Bank statement must show at minimum of $15,000 USD for a one-year I-20. )

  • Either schedule a live audition or submit an audition on a DVD or YouTube link.

  • *ALL documents must be in English.

Step 3: In a week’s time qualified students will receive an acceptance letter and a school transfer form issued by Long Island Conservatory of Music. Please send them to the student’s current institution.

Step 4: Pay full tuition and fees.

Step 5: After completion of the transfer process, report to Long Island Conservatory of Music immediately to complete the registration. When the student reports to the school, the student will fill-out and sign the enrollment agreement, attend the student orientation, and receive a student handbook.

Step 6: Begin studying at the Long Island Conservatory of Music.
