
Violin & Viola Teachers
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable music instructors to join our music school. We are currently hiring teachers for violin and viola.
Instructors will work with students in a supportive, professional, and encouraging environment to help them develop musical skills, confidence, discipline, creativity, and performance ability.
Job Description

Provide one-on-one and/or small-group lessons for violin instruction

Teach proper technique, rhythm, musical expression, performance skills, and practice habits

Prepare students for recitals, performances, auditions, competitions, school music programs, NYSSMA, ABRSM, or other music exams as applicable

Create a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment

Adapt lessons to each student’s age, level, goals, and learning style
-
Communicate student progress to school staff and/or parents as needed

Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistency
Qualifications:
-
Strong knowledge and proficiency in violin instruction
-
Prior teaching, private lesson, classroom, performance, or coaching experience preferred

College students, college graduates, professional musicians, certified teachers, and experienced performers are welcome to apply

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patient, responsible, and comfortable working with children, teenagers, and/or adults

Ability to explain musical concepts clearly and motivate students
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Degree or current study in music, music education, instrumental performance, music production, or a related field

Experience preparing students for recitals, auditions, NYSSMA, ABRSM, competitions, or school ensemble placements

Experience teaching beginner through advanced students

Ability to teach more than one instrument or area is a plus
Schedule:
Flexible part-time hours are available. After-school, evening, and/or weekend availability is preferred.
