Hudson Ye-Hyung Chung

Acclaimed for his sophisticated interpretation and warm, exquisite tone, HudsonYe-Hyung Chung, born in Jerusalem, Israel, began playing the violin at the age 6. Making hisdebut with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra at the age of 11, he was commended by Israel'sfifth president, Itzhak Navon, who became his patron for his music studies in Israel. Since then,Mr. Chung has demonstrated his talents in various venues all over the world, and winning atcompetitions from a young age. He won the 1st place awards in Israeli-American FoundationSharett scholarship Program, Tel Aviv (2006); Kukmin Daily News Competition, Seoul(2007);Youngsan Young Artist Competition, Seoul, (2008); and New York International MusicCompetition, (2012), Bach International Music Competition, (2024). In addition, Mr. Chung isalso an active chamber musician, collaborating with world-renowned artists, such as GilShaham, Paul Huang, Ani Kavafian, Melissa Reardon, Melvin Chen, and RamanRamakrishnan. Mr. Chung has also been invited to perform at various music festivals, such asNorfolk Chamber Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, and Keshet Eilon. Alumnus of theJuilliard School, Yale School of Music, and New England Conservatory, he studied with worldrenowned pedagogues such as Hyo Kang, Miriam Fried, Paul Biss, and Peter Zazofsky. Hecurrently studies with Jennifer Frautschi, Phil Setzer, and Haggaii Shaham at the Stony BrookUniversity awarded with full-merit Scholarship.
