Yuha Lee, Cellist


Yuha Lee is a Korean cellist based in New York. She holds a Master of Music degree from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Hanyang University. Her principal teachers include Barbara Mallow, Jung Eun-Choi, Cheol-Huh, and Kyung-Ok Park.

Before moving to New York for her graduate studies, Ms. Lee served as a member of the cello section of the Jeonju Philharmonic Orchestra, where she performed for two years as a professional orchestral musician. She made her solo debut at the age of 17 with the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto and has since appeared as a soloist with several orchestras across Korea.

As a chamber musician, Ms. Lee has studied under distinguished mentors such as Chan Joo Whee, principal violist of the Seoul Baroque Orchestra, and Ga Jin Lim, concertmaster of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Lotte Concert Hall, and the Seoul Arts Center.

A former member of the Seoul Society Cello Ensemble, Ms. Lee continues to pursue a multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral performer, and dedicated cello instructor.
